Been told to apply RFID Tags but don't know what to do?

Is slap and ship right for you?
Do you need to integrate with your back office systems or leave RFID 'stand alone'?

The challenge is to make sure you do what is right for your customer whilst minimising the impact on your business. But how do you know what is right? You can trial-and-error it, but that will cost time and money. Is the retailer going to be patient whilst you ship tags that do not read? Should you use Alien or Omron tags? Where do you get them. How do you apply them?

And how do you know tags will work on your cartons? If you have anything metal in the carton it can damp the tag response field from 8 feet down to 2 inches. Anything liquid? You are fine if it's baby oil, but not if it's water. It also makes a big difference where you put the tags and which way they face.

The short answer is that there is no short answer. Each application has to be designed for its particular environment.

So perhaps it's time to call in the people who know. The Codeology experts have been trained by manufacturers of both tags and readers. We have a wide experience of understanding your needs as well as those of the retailers, and we offer a FREE initial consultation to discuss your project.
